To keep grasshopper realtime, the objects in grasshopper do not exist in Rhino normally. If you select the final components that draw the object. Then hit the bake command (the egg icon). This will bake the objects into Rhino.

I know we get in the habit of using UV because it is easy, but not very accurate. It also imposes some servere constraints on how the surface is modeled. Does a Geodesic work better? See this image:
